Summary: I just love the old building and it’s really close to all the Macon sites. Cherry Street, the hay house, everything! Staff is wonderful. Would definitely be coming back.

Summary: What a beautiful place excellent service all round from easy check in to canapés between 5/7 pm and a licensed bar breakfast could not be faulted a really great experience thanks to all staff

Summary: This was a beautiful old Bed and Breakfast but it could have been so much better. When we arrived we registered in the old beautiful house but our room was located in an outer building in the back. I was a little bummed but It was ok. Our room was nice and clean but it was on the upper floor and it was super hot. I put the AC unit down low and it took hours to get comfortable. After getting settled in I realized the TV didn't work and neither did the phone. I walked over to the main house to get help and needless to say it took two hours to get help and have the TV working. The back house where we stayed didn't have any ice or cold drinks to buy. The rooms don't have and refrigerators. I was really thirsty all night. We were told to fill out the Breakfast menu order for morning, I checked what we wanted to order and scheduled a 7:00 to 7:15 breakfast to be delivered to our room. The food didn't arrive until 8:00 and it was horrible. The eggs were cold and the grits were cold and solidified. The hot tea was cold and served without a teacup. Needless to say we left hungry, hot and disappointed.

Summary: Very charming inn with excellent staff and amenities. Centrally located in downtown Macon I historic district. The staff goes out of the way to make sure you have a great experience. The breakfast is awesome.

Summary: We had an awesome time at the 1842 Inn. The room was clean and so comfortable. The breakfast was so good. The staff were so friendly and so helpful highly recommend!

Summary: What a wonderful place to stay in Macon. We loved it from the moment we drove up the driveway. The main house, where we stayed, and the beautiful lobby make you feel like you’ve stepped into another era—in the best possible way. It’s a place that invites you to slow down.There are plenty of cozy sofas and armchairs where you can sit back, enjoy a drink or a few hors d’oeuvres, and simply relax. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and full of character. Breakfast offered a great variety, and the service throughout our stay was friendly. All in all, this was much more than just a hotel stay, it was a lovely experience. We would happily come back.
