Positive: We spent 14 days at the Makrinitsa Suites 1822 Hotel in the “Aura” suite. The hotel is located in the historic center of Makrinitsa with a beautiful view of the city of Volos. Actually I should rate this hotel with only one point (see below). But I give 9 points because Christina and Giannis (the two employees) are helpful and very service-oriented and make the stay to something special. The breakfast they served was very varied and delicious every day. Thank you both for a wonderful vacation.

Negative: However, overall there is a need for more investment and also the impression that the business is not well organized by the owner: - most of the furniture is very worn and would need to be replaced - the garden was maintained by an external service provider in our presence, but the work was carried out very unprofessionally - the property offers no shade as all the parasols are broken - the bathroom, window shutters and wooden installations also urgently need to be renovated. The description and pictures on the homepage do not correspond to reality at all.

Positive: Location is one of the best I have had, with a spectacular view close to the nice restaurants, short walk. Breakfast was huge and exceptionally good.

Summary: The terrasse in front of each room is just breathtaking.

Positive: Very cute hotel, the only one in the village with an elevator - very important on the winding roads there, Kristina was sweet and upgraded us to a suite for our honeymoon our honey We enjoyed the quiet and our nice hotel. The breakfast was excellent, we will come back here.
