Positive: Very well appointed and very comfortable. The decor was utterly stunning, even more attractive than the photos. Location was a perfect base to explore North Yorkshire and the coast. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch - we particularly loved the homegrown tomatoes.

Negative: We had trouble finding a spot in the residential parking zone one afternoon when we got back, but we parked in the 2hrs free zone until a space came free.

Positive: The atmosphere was great on a hill.

Negative: 1. There was so many insects entering the chalet whenever we opened windows or doors and gave us much stress. Personally I think fly screen should be installed. 2. About the payment of the accommodation: it’s said in the email that only cash will be accepted, so before departing from Geneva, we walked a long way to the exchange (with a small baby) and exchanged for more than 800 SF at a very bad rate, but after we arrived, one lady (Ms. Marilyn) told us it’s already paid thru booking, so I thought maybe there was mistake. Before we checked out, I double checked with Marilyn, who confirmed again the accommodation was paid totally except tax, for which we left the cash on the table. But after I got to my next destination, booking kept calling me and told me the fee was not paid. Marilyn also kept trying to reach me for the same purpose. And I tried to pay it but the link sent by Marilyn didn’t work…. During my last days of stay in Switzerland this issue kept annoyed me and I was only able to make it by credit card after I came back home. Now I have the same amount of cash in SF in my hands and I don’t have plan to travel to Switzerland for the next few years, awkward . This misunderstanding should not have happened and it’s very unpleasant. Hope it will not happen to any other guests.
