Positive: It's a very clean and tidy place. Small but complete in ameneties, Nice kitchen with the usual equipment and a small dining table. Comfortable double bed and it turns out that the sofa is a fold-out bed so it would sleep 4 at a squeeze. Nice bathroom with walk-in shower. It benefits from being below street level so the sound of traffic on the main road is minimal and not intrusive. Parking is great - secluded and spacious.

Negative: It was a bit difficult to find. The image used on this site is only visible from a courtyard behind the pub. The delightful landlady showed me where it was but I would have struggled without her. The radiators are electric and individually programmed. Since they had been switched off altogether, the clocks all had to be set before any schedule could be programmed in. It took well over half and hour to work out how to program them and to set them up so the place was warm in the morning and evening. The programmers are not the most intuitive or user friendly. I was quite annoyed and frustrated by the time I'd got the settings I wanted.

Positive: We had a one-bedroom apartment with a fairly large kitchen, a small living room with a large TV, a lovely bedroom with adequate storage for your clothes and a TV, bathroom has a large walk-in shower. Everything you need for a short break or a longer stay. The owner and the staff are outstanding as is the pub, drinks and food. 5 stars.

Negative: We were there for a wedding and The Lion Inn was central to both the church and the reception. It is just a beautiful place to stay and the views are stunning.
