A great property in a great location for those wanting to explore Monmouth, the Forest Of Dean and Offa’s Dyke.. All on the Ground Floor:

Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, Freeview TV Ensuite: Walk-In Shower, Toilet, Shower Seat, Grab Rail. Biomass underfloor central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included, remainder at £6.50 per basket. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack. . Small enclosed lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: This property has a natural water supply from a bore hole.. Located in the village of Wonastow, just 4 miles from the fabulous town of Monmouth, this lovely semi-detached, single-storey conversion has been restored to a very good standard throughout. Situated next door to the owner on a working farm, with open views of the countryside, it is great for those who are less able as ramp access through the front door allows for easy access for those with walking aids or wheelchairs.
Situated on the Offa’s Dyke footpath, the property offers a great open plan living space with a superb wood burner in the living area, and a lovely enclosed lawned garden and patio area for those with four-legged friends. The charming large master bedroom has a kingsize bed and TV for those lazy mornings, and there is also a double sofa bed in the living area. The shower room has a higher seated toilet seat (on request), a chair for the shower and grab rails.
This south-facing property is lovely, light and sunny in the summer months and there is an air conditioning unit in the property should you get too hot. For those winter months there is the underfloor heating run from the owner’s biomass heating and solar panels, and the wood burner to keep you cosy and warm. By prior arrangement with the owner, private hot tub hire can be arranged with a local company at cost. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
Little Hendre Lodge can be booked together with King Offa Barn (ref UK10261) to accommodate up to 12 guests.

Summary: Fabulous place! Val couldn’t be more welcoming and accommodating. The lodge is well equipped and Val even arranged for us to hire a hot tub whilst there! Our dogs had as good a time as we did and having a totally secure garden enabled peace of mind. We would love to visit again in the near future.

Summary: The cottage is beautiful, everything we needed. Spacious, clean, modern but homely. Situation is very rural, narrow lanes to the property and we were a little disappointed that although the countryside is very beautiful there are no views from the garden which is surrounded by 6 ft fencing. Summary: A real pleasure to watch swallows swooping and feeding their young on the wing. Bats at dusk and owls during the night. Although only about 4 miles from Monmouth (easiest route via Rockfield Road), the Lodge was well nestled into the countryside If you like open plan, this will suit very well - plenty of space. Accessible too. Although 3 adults and one-bedroomed, the Jack and Jill bathroom and spaciousness, with the sofa bed in the lounge works well. Summary: The Lodge is lovely. We were a couple with a border collie and springer spaniel and there was loads of room. It would be nice to go back in the summer to get the use of the garden as it would be nice a peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.

Summary: We spent a week in November in the cottage. Valery was so lovely upon arrival to welcome us. The cottage has everything you need for a quiet peaceful getaway, but is only a short drive away from lots of places of interest! Amazing scenery, a lovely walk on the doorstep. Would highly recommend for couples or small families.
