Perfect for couples, Covesea Village is a cosy cottage located on the stunning Moray coast.. Ground Floor:
Step to entrance.
All on the ground floor.
Living room: With wood burner, TV screen (no TV licence) with DVD player and 3ft 9in sofa bed (on request, for flexible sleeping arrangements).
Kitchen/dining room: With gas cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine.
Bedroom: With double bed.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail.. Electric central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Logs for wood burner provided.. Large lawned garden with garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: No children under 16 years of age. The property is accessed by a farm track. There is unfenced drop to the coastal path and sea from the end of the garden.. Covesea Village is the middle one of a row of five detached cottages on the clifftop near Lossiemouth, with sea and mountain views across the Moray Firth. The access from the main road is via a farm track and there is walking access directly to both the coastal path and a sandy beach. A charming traditional stone-built cottage, it has been sympathetically restored by the owners and refurbished in 2019. There is a lovely bright living room with a wood burner giving the whole house a cosy and warm feeling. Outside is an open garden where most years wild orchids grow, with a picnic table. Bikes can be stored in the east porch. Covesea Village does not have a TV licence and has non fibre internet, however this shouldn’t affect your stay at this beautiful holiday home.
Look out for the Moray Firth bottlenose dolphins and the occasional minke whale and basking shark. There are many opportunities for golf, distillery visits, bird-watching, on-road and off-road cycling, and kayaks or canoes can be carried to launch from the beach. Explore the caves, look for the footprints of reptiles left 250 million years ago and visit the lighthouse. Beyond Covesea, there is the former fishing town of Lossiemouth, its harbour now full of yachts, with shops, pubs, two beaches and a fisheries museum. Inland is Elgin with its ruined cathedral and a range of activities, shops, restaurants and pubs – and Scotland’s oldest independent museum. Inverness, the gateway to the Northwest Highlands and the start of the ’North Coast 500’ is less than an hour’s drive away, and the Cairngorms National Park is an hour’s drive. Beach 100 yards. Shops, pub and restaurant 3¾ miles.

Summary: Beautiful cottage in fantastic quiet location looking out to sea. The property was in excellent upkeep. The hosts were very friendly and Janet was extremely knowledgeable about the local area. The guest information was very extensive. Would definitely recommend.

Summary: We found this a perfect place to get away from everything. We enjoyed being able to walk down to the beach from the cottage and the scenery was amazing. Everything at the cottage was very well organised in regard to COVID 19, so we felt safe.

Summary: The perfect cottage for a getaway holiday. Beautiful views from the living room over the Moray coastline. Travelled to John o Groats, went on a cruise on Loch Ness, shopped in Inverness, saw family in Aberdeen, tattooed in Elgin, walked the beach to Lossiemouth. It was brilliant. As busy or as quiet as you wanted it. Definitely recommend, will be back again. Dave & Lisa

Summary: Cottage has everything you need... if you wanted to cook etc( we didn’t - ate out!)all is there. Found storage heater and bedroom heater fine...lit one fire ( easy peasy !)for a wee comfy night in, romantic even, perfect! 🥰 The view is fantastic, we saw a pod of dolphins one night, leaping out the water making their way across the Firth...Saw a few cruise liners too passing as well as the wee fishing boats attending their pots! We took the coastal walk route..,check the tides if going along beach routes..,from Covesea to Hopeman( another lovely town, beautiful sandy beach with decorated beach huts.About 3 miles one way. )Lovely! ❤️Lots of nice beach coves and caves.The sound of the jets from Lossiemouth air base adds another attraction to the place. Loved the peacock and red admiral butterflies too! A visit to Elgin Museum is worth a visit, lots too see, not stuff....it’s Free!!!!!! 😂
