Positive: Very good location; close to metro station and very central to the whole of Shanghai, also very close to a popular shopping area and mall. Great interior; comfortable furniture, small and cozy for 5 people and massive luggages but great value for price, was also provided amenities such as hairdryer, towels, clothign rack, clothes washer. However, no dryer Great customer service; communications were held on Wechat or Whatsapp, service team responded quickly and was very accomodating

Negative: No clothes dryer which is difficult for multiple people in small place

Positive: The location, layout, and facility were perfect! There are lots of restaurants, bars, and shops (major retailers too) on the same street. The night life is very active and there are bars right next to the entrance. The people were great and the area was perfect! Very close to everything and anything you may need. The instructions from the owner were very clear and detailed which made everything so much easier. The place itself was gorgeous and very spacious and clean. We had everything we needed and enough space for everything. I went with a group of Queers and the area was perfect for that too. A VERY inclusive area.

Negative: At night the entrance to the place is very dark and hard to see. So make sure your phones flash is turned on. The steps to get in are very steep but the owner let's you know in the instructions. Bring extra water or buy water once you get there. Get there during the day as its a bit hard to navigate since its dark and looks kinda creepy.

Positive: Good if you want to live like the locals. Location only 2 blocks away from Xintiandi shopping malls and restaurants. Also close to Sinan mansions and Fuxing park. Large living room. There is a microwave to heat up take-out food but nothing else for cooking inside the apartment.

Negative: The two level section of the apartment with the two bedrooms and bathroom is designed for 5 feet 4 inch tall people. Any person above that will have difficulty enjoying the apartment as it means constantly bending down to avoid head collision. Good thing we were there mostly to sleep. There is only one restroom above, attached to the upper bedroom.

Positive: Before I get into the negatives upon booking this stay this was in preparation for a busy week in the lead up to the Shanghai marathon. This place was perfect with location, perceived to be big online and was an affordable price.

Negative: Unfortunately before arrival there was no safe place to leave my checked back apart from a neighbour downstairs which wasn’t appropriate, after entering the property there were a number of things never mentioned and basic amenities weren’t supplied. Half empty bottles of soap, 1 toilet roll for the week, a pan that wasn’t cleaned and was stained from the previous stay along with another persons clothes. the shower was grubby and mouldy and this was never listed on the booking and beds were uncomfortable beyond belief. WiFi didn’t work and with the constant smoke, the street turns into a loud obnoxious night club during the night so sleep was near impossible.

Summary: I’ve stayed in much worse, hostels across the world but this place think twice before booking. Looks good from the outsi
