Positive: Excellent location. It has a safe private indoor parking place. The house was spacious and kept clean. Kitchen was well equipped and every gadget was working well. Very interesting place to experience to stay at a traditional Japanese house.

Negative: After having a meal at the house, we had difficulty to find out how to deal with food waste. In my country one should seperate garbage and compost. If there were any instruction on garbage and compost policy, it would be much easier to keep the house clean.

Positive: Plenty of room, large kitchen, two bathrooms and three toilets. Air conditioning in each room whch was absolutely necessary as the temperatures were very high during our stay.

Negative: While kitchen was large with two sinks, two coffee machines etc the cooking utensils were limited. The only knife was unusable and I had to go and buy two more.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay here with family members but disapointed with some of the facilities.

Positive: This spacious house is located right near the Nara Park, which has the Nara National Museum, Todai-ji (a large temple with the extremely large bronze Budda), and the deer park with tame deer. It's also walkable from the station which has so many shops and restaurants. The house is amazing. The beds are very comfortable. There is a washer and dryer for clothes. The kitchen has a full fridge, gas stove with three burners, fish grill, a kind of an oven without racks (Maybe there are racks somewhere? Not sure.) two large sinks, fancy rice cooker, toaster oven, microwave, and hot water dispenser. The soaking tub is very deep and luxurious. The whole house has excellent water pressure. There are several Japanese style rooms (with tables) downstairs and several western style rooms (bedrooms) upstairs. There are toilets both upstairs and downstairs. There is a shower upstairs too. There is an inner courtyard. I expected the antique sofa to be uncomfortable from the pictures, but it was actually large and comfortable for sitting. The kitchen has a large useful table. Each room has AC. There is a garage for 1 car. Despite being near the park, there must be insulation, because we were not bothered by outside noise. This is a beautiful, peaceful Japanese style house. The host (off-site) was friendly and helpful. This is an excellent place to stay for short or long stays.

Negative: If you are doing a lot of cooking, you should bring your own knives and Tupperware. They have the basic kitchen items which was everything we needed.
