Positive: The owner was so kind and helpful throughout our entire stay. She shared with us fresh tropical fruits and even her home made Tempura of vegetables from the island. She also lent us kids toys for our three year old daughter and a bouncer for our baby. She works at a souvenir shop literally right across the house, and her house was next door, so she was easy to contact if we needed help. The house itself is an old traditional house, and it is very spacious and came with everything we needed. Like the other reviews mention, the floor plan could be a bit confusing, but for a traditional house, it is very normal. Some parts of the house are rustic but that did not bother us. The kitchen has all sorts of appliances so it was very convenient for us to prepare meals at home. They even have an outdoor grill, and that was definitely one of our favorite memories of staying at this house. Our toddler enjoyed running around the house, and we didn’t have to worry too much about being too loud because we had the entire house to ourselves. Overall we had a fantastic time, thank you for the warm hospitality!

Negative: We liked everything but would offer the following cautions: the house preserves the rustic character despite the modernized amenities. If you are taller than 180 cm (5' 11") you are quite likely to bump your head on the door frames. The house is old so some parts of the house are rustic, but nothing that affects the function or safety of the house. The closest grocery store was only accessible by car, it took about 5-10 minutes. One thing that we struggled with is the early morning village public announcements (local exercise broadcast) that were loud- this is something that the hosts have no control over, but it did wake our small kids up.

Positive: The owners are very friendly and so mind. We even got to try to delicious fruits thanks to them. The accommodation is actually a full house with so many rooms, at first we got lost in the house 😁. It's very convenient because you have a washing machine and a kitchen with everything you need.

Negative: The house is old. It didn't bother us; but some people might prefer the comfort of a modern house. But the bathroom is new.

Positive: The house itself was an experience of the Japanese way of life. Very typical. The location is fantastic for those who want to go to the beach - especially for snorkelling enthusiasts. Tomori beach in particular is just 5 min away by car and one of the best on the island. Finally, the hosts are living next door and are the most amazing couple. They were so welcoming and warm. We will never forget this stay!

Positive: We had an amazing experience staying here. We got a taste of true Japanese island life. The house is very spacious and you have everything you might need. The hosts were very kind and helpful. As we didnt have a car, they offered to take us to a shop the first day, then asked us in the mornings if we want to take somewhere. The last evening they invited us for dinner. Highly recommend!!!
