Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Front garden with terrace and garden furniture. 2 small dogs welcome. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are fishing lakes in the grounds. . This light and spacious, two-bedroom, newly-built lodge is situated on the beautiful Stonham Barns Leisure Park, which is set in 110 acres of picturesque countryside. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed with en-suite toilet, a further bedroom has twin beds, and there is also a shower room. There is a fully fitted kitchen, and the living room offers the perfect place to sit and read, watch TV or play family games. Outside is a large terrace area which is fenced off and is the ideal place to sit and relax with a book and your favourite tipple.
Stonham Barns has an array of activities to suit all ages. For the children there are amusements, an adventure golf, play barn and new for 2023, an aqua park. The two fishing lakes are set in a tree-lined corner, and are fully stocked with a mixture of carp. The popular Suffolk Owl Sanctuary on-site is home to over 80 owls and birds of prey, meerkats, ferrets, rabbits and red squirrels. Flying displays are held daily from Easter to September. There is a large bar/restaurant where you can watch sports or play darts, as well as air hockey and a amusement area for the children. There is also an outside garden area. Why not pop along to the on-site theatre and watch a music act? If you fancy a bit of retail therapy there is an array of independent retailers on-site, including a hairdresser, pottery, café and antique centre.
If you can tear yourself from Stonham Barns, then a visit to the Suffolk coast is a great way to spend a day. Southwold offers an array of independent shops and restaurants, and is home to Adnams Brewery. Also worth visiting are Thorpeness, situated around the Mere with its Peter Pan themed islands, Aldeburgh, with its famous fish and chip shop, and Bury St Edmunds, where you can take a treasure trail to learn more about this historic town. Summary: Booked a 3 night break last minute. Owner of caravan contacted me with caravan details and then text to let me know caravan was ready. Heating was on when we arrived and we didn’t know how to turn it off, I text the owner and he was with us within minutes. Caravan is modern, clean and has everything you need to cook meals yourself, lots of pans, cutlery, trays, etc, a microwave, toaster, large fridge and freezer, oven and 5 ring gas hob. 2 comfy sofas’s and a footstool, table and chairs and patio set on decking and a bbq you can use. Beds were made up when we arrived and owners left towels for us to use which was great. Nice addition to have the little shopping village so close and was only a 10 minute drive to a little co-op which stocks everything you would need. Village shop does close at 4pm though. Cafe on site is nice. One night we came back to people flying giant lit up kites in the field which was lovely to watch. The owner has made a board which slots into the bars of the decking to keep your dog safe on the decking. Shower head was small but mighty. We found the beds quite uncomfortable. This is the only negative we have. The caravan has a smart tv with Netflix which was great. They have a boot sale on the field just a 2 minute walk from the caravan but unfortunately due to all the rain it was cancelled. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend as it’s a quiet and clean park to stay on and the caravan was lovely and the owners helpful and friendly
