Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Nice cottage with plenty of room - Clean and comfortable- good facilities and easy check in. Good for walking into Ambleside around a 15/20min walk away. Handy for Boats to travel up and down the lake. Round the front of the youth hostel is a grass area with spectacular views and good for if you have a dog.

Negative: Parking for 1 car only and that was very tight but public parking nearby £10 for 24 hours. No outside space - backed onto the youth hostel on one side - pretty ugly and had fans going which you could hear from the back rooms when the windows were open then a busy road on the other. Not enough to keep us awake.

Summary: A nice comfortable cottage, very clean with good facilities - good for a group with en suites in all rooms. Just lacked

Positive: Lovely spacious cottage, very comfortable with everything we needed.

Negative: Parking as I have a pick up we could not fit it on the drive but we were lucky enough to get a parking space by the pier when we needed it.
