Scafell View is a beautifully renovated 2 Bed Apartment set in the Heart of Wasdale Valley in The Lake District. The property is on the first floor offering breathtaking views to the Scafell Range.
Nestled below Buckbarrow and Middle Fell in the Wasdale Valley the apartment is in an ideal location for an active Walking / Climbing holiday or a relaxing break away from it all surrounded by stunning scenery. There are some fantastic walks to be had directly from the property, with paths leading to Buckbarrow, Middle Fell and Seatallan on the doorstep. The shores of Wastwater are within a 15 minute stroll taking in the views. Wasdale Head is a 10 minute drive away at the feet of Yewbarrow, Great Gable and Scafell Pike.
The property itself has been recently renovated and has all modern conveniences to hand including Broadband and Smart TV to keep the Kids (& Grown ups!) entertained after a days exploring. It has a landline if you need to keep in touch with the Outside World, although it can be easily unplugged if you want to make the most of the lack of phone signal on your break in the Lakes!
There are a number of excellent pubs and restaurants in the local area - The Famous Wasdale Head Inn is a short drive away, as are Nether Wasdale, Santon Bridge and Gosforth offering a great selection from Hearty Pub Grub to one of the best Italian Restaurants in West Cumbria.
There is a Village Store in Gosforth (approx 10 minutes drive away) that offer a good range of products. The major supermarket chains also deliver to the property if required.

Summary: This was such a lovely location. The apartment was clean and cosy and the views were stunning! No phone signal or Internet in the area but WiFi is provided. We had some lovely walks from the apartment, we climbed Middle Fell (which is directly behind the apartment) and had a short walk to Wastwater. Such a lovely place to stay!

Summary: This was our first visit and we wanted to get out into wilds walking, running and swimming. The location was very easy to find following the directions provided and first impressions upon arrival was just breathtaking. The accommodation is nestled at the bottom of Middle Fell and Buckbarrow. Opposite is the scree slopes dropping into Wastwater. If outside was impressive it was certainly matched by what we found entering the apartment. It is beautiful in each room and so very cosy, which we appreciated as it rained on every walk😂 It was also well equipped, there was everything we needed and more. Would not hesitate in recommending both the property and the owners who were great in communication before, during and after the stay.

Summary: Scafell View Apartment is well appointed with everything you would need. It has been beautifully renovated, very comfortable bed, cosy and warm apartment. The location for us was perfect as my partner was able to walk from the door. It is a remote area accessed along narrow roads but people visiting Wasdale would be aware of this I imagine. Sharon was easily contactable and helpful when we needed to speak to her. We arrived in appalling weather but were very lucky for the next couple of days to have no rain. Wasdale is a fabulous area for walking and photography. Weather in lap of the gods, you take your chance. Scafell View apartment an excellent choice and we certainly intend to return when we next visit Wasdale. Thank you Sharon.

Summary: The whole process was extremely easy. The post code took us directly to the door and we found where we were staying with no issues. You never know what a place will be like when you have only viewed it online, however this place was better than the photos. It was so clean and had everything we needed. It is within 15 minutes of local shops to buy food if needed. 5 minute drive or a beautiful hour walk along waste water lake. The surrounding areas are outstanding and so many walks to do straight from the door that you barely need to be in the car. Scafell Pike is only a 3 minute drive down the road. So many things right by you. The bathroom was gorgeous and the bed comfy. Would recommend to everyone.
