Positive: The villa was beautiful and the outside space was wonderful and relaxing. The hosts were very accommodating and allowed early check in and a very late check out meaning we could enjoy the last day of our holiday fully. The villa has everything you need and more. There were lots of extra touches. Oia can be insanely busy (and we were there early season) so this villa is a perfect, tranquil bolthole from the chaos.
Negative: This is my fault for not looking at the layout properly but there are no doors between rooms within the property meaning there is no privacy if you are travelling with more than 2 people or other than close family. I was travelling with my husband and 20 year old daughter so the layout was not ideal for us. The villa is very close to Oia but be warned it does involve walking up a very steep hill. Its okay if you are fit and healthy but may be challenging for those less able. That said, this is Oia and its all a big hill.

Positive: The location was perfect. Far away enough from the crowds of Oia but close enough to walk. There should be mention of the steep climb up the hill to get to Oia and the fact that it is quite rural ( ideal for us!).
Negative: No teaspoons,no bowls, just one glass tumbler. No toaster as advertised. Breadboard but no bread knife or any sharp knife.. Nearest supermarket is a 15 minute walk. We hired a car so not a problem but might be for some!
Summary: Beautiful villa in rural location

Positive: The villa was absolutely stunning. Very clean and had everything we needed. The pool is a great size, and is ideally placed for views over the sea. We had a perfect view of the sunset on one night from the balcony which we really enjoyed.
Negative: The pool was too cold for us to enjoy at this time of year, which was a real shame. We were hoping it would be a bit warmer so we could enjoy it regardless of the weather but in reality it was too cold to do that, so we hardly used it - not helped by the weather being particularly poor for the few days we were there. Also, whilst the location is key for the sunsets, (which we did catch one night and it was fantastic), the walk up to the main Oia town was very up hill! It felt just a little bit too much of a walk sometimes.
Summary: Fantastic sunset views
