In 1985, the Belgian Christina and her Greek husband bought an old house in the quiet, leafy village of Lagoudi, at the foot of Mount Dikeos on Kos. The breathtaking view was the reason. Here she also opened her gallery in the garden and put her pictures and icons under. The bistro cafe came shortly after and everything was immediately discovered by well-known travel guides, like Dummont and Marco Polo. Tourists came and would like to spend the night, so the apartments were created.
One of the three apartments of, "Orea Ellas" is the here presented Apollon (greek. God of light and protector of the arts). It is a studio, located on the first floor, has a double bed, and two sofa beds. A small but well-equipped kitchen, a small bathroom with shower and a cozy, private terrace with views to the Turkish mainland belong to the object.
Down the stairs leads to the winding garden. It offers further seating, such as the BBQ area, a terrace with sun loungers and separate corners for reading, shared by the three apartments. Air conditioning does not have the studio, since it is not necessary. It is a stone building and is located at 300 meters altitude. There are hardly any mosquitoes here.

Summary: We spent our third holiday on Kos in one of Christina's lovely apartments and enjoyed our time there as much as our previous stays. The apartment is very comfortable, well equipped and has a lovely veranda where we enjoyed our breakfasts and the odd glass of wine or two in the evening. We had a great time and Christina (not forgetting Melina and Sophie) made us very welcome every time we wandered up to her café. Thank you, Christina, we will be back!

Summary: We had an absolutely fantastic stay at "The Beautiful Greece". Our host, Christina, was very welcoming and had everything ready for us on late arrival. The property, set within the grounds of an artists compound, has been lovingly and sympathetically restored in traditional Greek style over nearly 30 years. Every inch has been carefully considered, the property sits within a world of its own, a little pile of beautiful Greek pleasures around every corner and within every nook and cranny. I stayed here in early April with my parents. The weather was lovely despite a couple of windy nights which was quite an experience given that the property sits nestled at the foot of quite an imposing mountain, tall fan palms swayed back and fourth in quite a dramatic fashion, an epic experience. The town of Kos was a pleasant surprise, we had expected to find remnants of the refugee crisis but, instead, we found a beautifully kept old town teaming with cafés and sympathetically presented curio shops. The town square offers an authentic Greek experience and the coffee was very refreshing after a long stroll around the many little streets and pristine marina and port. The whole island offers little gems around every corner, an island very limited in brand name hotels but rich in culture and authentic Greek life. I would highly recommend this property and indeed, the island of Kos for any type of holiday. We stayed for 5 days but could have easily stayed for weeks.
