Negative: On flight path near airport. Kitchen dated, well equipped but no dishwasher. Television too quiet, and couldn’t turn volume up above a certain level. Stairs dangerous. Although August, cottage smelt damp.

Negative: Cottage was damp and had a musty smell. Shower and toilet downstairs. Heating was random and seemed to be controlled elsewhere. No cupboard for food if staying a week.

Positive: Clean and tidy with everything provided. Parking available. Friendly staff. Beautiful area and shops within walking distance. Instructions for TV use and information pamphlets available. Good security with double glazed windows which were easy to lock. Small outside area. A mostly peaceful place. Hot water shower.

Negative: The bins opposite the cottage were collected at about midnight one night, which was very noisy and surprising. We had to vacate at 9.30am on the last day - unusually early in my view and not very relaxing! A tea cosy would have been useful.
