Positive: Perfect location on a quiet street. Good kitchen space and equipment. From the balcony all we could see were trees and all we could hear were birds singing and children playing in a nearby playground. And yet it was only a short walk to the Acropolis museum and the Plaka neighborhood. Wonderful old cemetery at the end of the block.

Summary: A great retreat for the end of busy days of ancient history and crowds!

Positive: We were greeted by a lovely lady Vaso when we arrived. She made us very welcome and explained everything and also tips on what to visit whilst providing a map of the locality and wider Athens. The apartment was amazing, so clean and huge with a lovely balcony. Whilst it is tucked away and the taxi driver had difficulty in finding the address, it is a brilliant location for everything central. So nice and quiet and yet 5 -10 mins walk from the busier main attractions. I would thoroughly recommend L9 and would certainly come again should we return to Athens.

Positive: The apartment is exactly as pictured; it's spacious with three balconies (one of them is enormous); it's spotlessly clean; and it's in a quiet residential street. Some of the reviews said it was a 30 minute walk from the centre. It's not, the Mets neighbourhood is more like 15 minutes and we really enjoyed getting out of the traffic and noise of the city to return home to our quiet nest on the edge of a beautiful cemetery, surrounded by trees. Kon, the owner, met us at the property and she was incredibly friendly and helpful. She made us feel right at home and provided maps and recommended restaurants. There were lots of really thoughtful touches too like mosquito repellent and After Bite (although every door had a mosquito covering), olive oil, salt and pepper for cooking, tea and coffee provided including Greek coffee to try, milk, butter and toasts in the fridge, board games and books. The heating worked well too.

Negative: Barely anything! The hot water and the wi-fi could be a little temperamental, but it worked 80% of the time. It certainly didn't impact our holiday in any meaningful way.

Positive: Location close to the central area. It is a very civilized, quiet accommodation in a safe area of Athens. The atmosphere in the apartment is very, very pleasant. As for the owners, I have nothing but words of praise, very eager to help. A plus of the place is the provision of parking throughout our stay here.

Positive: Just perfect. A silent pedestrian street in Mets, on a hill close to everything. A lovely balcony with lush greenery and flowers. A seriously well-equipped big flat with lots of nice kitchen stuff, a good washer/dryer and an iron. Kon was very kind and made arrival very easy. Great WiFi and a very comfortable bed. So clean! Pleasant and untouristy neighbourhood bars and restaurants. In particular I'm glad we ended up here rather than in noisy crowded Monostraki or Plaka, or even worse out beyond Onoma Square with so many sad and drugged-up street people. Walking in the nearby National Gardens was lovely, and we especially enjoyed finding tortoises, including a tiny one. My personal highlight was a dawn walk to the Western Hills maybe 1/2 a mile from the flat to the nearest, the Hill of the Muses. Beautiful views of the Acropolis and over the Agora. Pnyx Hill especially. I couldn't recommend the flat more highly. If we return to Athens I hope we may be lucky to come here again.

Negative: I guess it is a ten minute walk to the Metro but Athens is small enough that you probably will only need public transport occasionally, for instance to go to the unmissable National Archeological Museum. To get to the centre from the Airport a taxi isn't too bad (€44) compared to the Metro (€10 pp I think) and is of course door-to-door.
