Positive: Great property set in greenery away from everyone and everything! We stayed with two kids who loved getting up in the morning and running outside. There are two bedrooms one with a bunk bed and one double, both bedrooms at opposite side of the cottage, with kitchen and living room in the middle. Kitchen was well equipped, property was clean however ceilings could do with a good brush of the daddy long legs! Signal in the area is pretty poor but WiFi is working really well in the property.

Negative: The shower at the property - we struggled to get any pressure and resorted to having baths! Not direct comment to the property however the Lamorna Wink advertised as nearby pub was a big let down- it was closed on Saturday evening and Friday night staff wasn’t the most welcoming. Yes you can walk to the sea but it’s not a beach.

Positive: The location was close to the bus stop. Great for going on walks with a trip back on the bus. The cottage was rustic and cosy with all you need at hand. Hot water and internet all working as described.

Negative: Master bedroom is rather small. Shower is tricky to operate.

Negative: The shower was either steaming hot or cold. My asthma got so bad if I went to the tv room. Mold somewhere, i'm sure. But that was the only room where I could not be.

Positive: The location was perfect for us. Extremely peaceful and lots to explore in the local area by foot or by car. The cottage has everything you could need for a comfortable self catering break. We found the easy walk to the local pub, "The Wink" on foot to Lamorna Cove (check opening times out of season.) The locals we met were really friendly and pointed out some other places to explore on foot. By car we travelled to Porthcurno beach, an exceptionally beautiful beach which will take your breath away as it reveals its self to you on the short walk from the carpark. If you need a complete break from suburbia this cottage is highly recommended. Take note : In the hosts accommodation information folder it warns newbies to the area about the dangers of local air quality being heavily laden with oxygen and devoid of impurities, which can lead to oversleeping and general afternoon drowsiness. I can vouch for this. After a short walk to the nearby pottery they have a splendid café and we enjoyed the most wonderful thick Dahl soup. What with the air quality and the best Dahl ever, I lapsed into a coma that evening and had one of the best nights sleep, ever!!
