Positive: The staff were amongst the most helpful and friendly I have met at any hotel. The food was excellent both at dinner and at breakfast. The location is superb with great views over the Cotswolds. Our room was very comfortable with one major problem as below

Negative: Most seriously the lighting in the room was awful. Having two comfortable seats is a real bonus but the lighting was so bad that it was impossible to read except in one chair. I wonder if the designer has ever stayed for any time in a hotel. The table lamps were too low to be of any use. The wooden furniture was no doubt a designer's dream but it would have been more helpful to have drawers and bedside tables with shelves and a cabinet. The chairs in the restaurant were wholly unsuitable- best used in a lounge. There were comfortable hard chairs but you had to look them out. At a less significant level it would have been helpful to have a little more information to find the driveway- even to look out for a standing stone would have prevented us missing the turning.

Positive: The location of this Hotel was perfect especially visiting Chipping Campden and Broadway it was ideal, and the hotel was absolutely stunning perfect for a lovely weekend away celebrating my husband 40th birthday.

Positive: Very nice bedroom and comfortable bed. The hotel is in a lovely setting with a garden and outdoor seating.

Negative: TV was difficult to operate! Couldn't get live programmes only those streamed.

Positive: Very comfortable beds, spacious rooms, well provisioned. Excellent location, good parking. Good breakfast. Lovely staff

Negative: Bedroom a bit dark - as lacking large window and natural light - needs a stronger light. Possibly more choice of cereal at breakfast and fruit like banana / berries

Positive: We absolutely loved our stay. The manor is so authentic and comfortable at the same time. It's both a holiday and an experience, the historic building has a magic to it. The views from the hill immersed in nature with deers running in the distance, the common rooms have books you actually want to read, everything was done so tastefully. The Restaurant is exceptional. I've rarely had such amazing food in the UK! The staff working at the hotel was very attentive. Interesting Cotswolds towns are a short drive away. I can't recommend it enough!!

Positive: Being renovated and nice countryside location with excellent staff

Negative: Some decisions made re the fitting out of the rooms need to be reviewed. Beds are uncomfortably too soft resulting in poor sleep and back pain in the morning. Decision not to provide facial tissues is mind blowing. Lack of storage space and hooks in the rooms and bathroom should be addressed.
