Positive: Let's start by saying that I rarely go to hostels. I'm not overly gregarious and I value my privacy. But I only needed a room for a night, possibly a few more, upon my arrival in Puerto Morelos and was hoping to minimize the expenses. So somehow I ended up at Humanity Hostel. As soon as I arrived, Ben, one of the owners with Morgane, was very warm and welcoming. He was keen on giving info and tips about their place and Puerto Morelos in general. The rest of the team, I quickly found, was also friendly and helpful as needed. The place itself was clean, tidy and quite peaceful. There's a chilling area in the garden with a swimming pool and a deck on the roof. The rooftop is nice in the evening after the temperature has dropped a bit. Everyone was respectful of others. We even had a night out playing games with all the team and several guests at a nice little restaurant (Maiz-Maix :-) ) on the port side. Et pour ceux qui ont de la difficulté avec l'anglais ou l'espagnol, vous pouvez y parler français sans problème. I'll miss the place but now that I have found my own place in PM, I can come and visit Humanity once in a while.

Negative: Nothing much really. As far as hostels go, this is a good one. :-)

Positive: This place is a must! Ben and Mo are the coolest hosts, always there to answer any questions you may have. Their recommendations for food and activities around the hostel are spot on (We had the best burrito of our trip, right next door), you feel right at home when you get there. Great vibes all around!

Positive: Friendly and helpful staff, booked a great trip to the Cenotes through them.

Negative: Whilst it should not be a barrier to staying, the lock on the door is very frustrating to use and should be replaced. We wasted a lot of time trying to get in and out of the property.

Positive: Comfortable mattresses, clean, staff goes out of their way to help you, pool, kitchen, waffles & fruit for breakfast! Location convenient to Collectivo’s, beach and town. Ben, hostel manager, speaks excellent French, Spanish & English. Chill vibe.

Positive: Great place to stay in Puerto Morelos, in a safe neighborhood, close to everything (supermarkets, tiendas, many good restaurants and street food, plaza, bar, botanical garden, collectivos...) From there you can walk to the beach or take a ride on the collectivo for 10 pesos. The hostel is clean, has very well equipped kitchen, a nice commun area to hang out, and a pool. I highly recommend, and would stay there again anytime!!

Positive: Good value private room was really appreciated whilst diving. Walkable from the colectivo stop by the big supermarket (though could be uncomfortable on a hot day). It's in the district by the highway, *not* at the beach - but it's a 10 peso colectivo ride to get to the seaside part. There's a pool, but I didn't use it as was in the ocean much of my time. Owner was helpful with information digitally in advance.

Negative: Was a little weird that I basically never met any staff whilst there, and there were very few guests, so not really a social atmosphere. Was okay for me at that time, might not suit others.

Summary: Quiet, clean, good value place (not at the beach!)
