Positive: Beautiful location in a rural setting, which is only a short drive to Ashbourne. Cottage has everything you need. Would highly recommend. My daughters loved waking up to the cows and being able to feed the birds was a real bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

Positive: A beautiful cottage surrounded by the countryside and the only vehicle you can hear is the odd tractor.

Negative: Nothing really to note here. Picky would be a creaky floorboard but it’s a cottage with wooden floors so it’s expected! I would say the photos don’t do it justice, it’s even nicer in real life

Positive: Everything about our stay here was great. The cottage was spotless and it had everything there that we needed, even down to the little things like tea, coffee sachets to lovely soft towels and wood for the fire. Would definitely look at staying there again.

Negative: Nothing it was all good. Only thing we struggled with, was finding the cottage in the dark, the Sat nav took us past the cottage to a farm further down the road on the right where the lady said that it often happens and she directed us back to the cottage.

Positive: The location was ideal to visit Alton Towers. The cottage itself had a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful bathroom, generally ample space, and a garden that the kids liked playing in. They especially liked to say good morning to the cows in the field behind the cottage!

Negative: The weather was very hot whilst we were there and so the cottage got very hot which made sleeping uncomfortable. Perhaps a couple of fans would have helped.

Positive: Beautiful setting looking out over the countryside. Cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. Comfy beds and lounge and was exactly what we wanted for a relaxing weekend.

Negative: Stairs were very creaky but it wasn't really a problem

Positive: Lovely quiet location to get away from it all, but close enough to Ashbourne to get bits and pieces. Really close to Alton Towers - 20 min drive on mainly “A” roads.

Negative: Nothing! If this cottage was closer to where we live we’d be returning!

Positive: The kitchen was very well equipped and we were able to cook like we would at home. Often find the odd thing missing, but not here! The lounge was cosy and comfy, with blankets to wrap up in. The roll top bath was a much needed treat after clocking up the miles. We were welcomed by a delicious victoria sponge when we opened the door.

Negative: minor, but the stairs were very creaky
