Summary: The only reasons I couldn’t give a five star review are because of the elevator being out of service and because of the strong chemical smell on our floor and in our room. The chemical smell seemed to be from cleaning chemicals but the smell was overwhelming. The elevator being out of service was an issue because our room was on the top floor and we had a decent amount of luggage to carry.

Summary: The first room we were provided had not been cleaned to the point the bed was not made. The staff were friendly and apologetic. Our next room was extremely humid and smelled damp. Another guest told us they were moved due to mold in their room. The vent in the bathroom didn’t work, the wallpaper was peeling. The room was dark and not well lit. The textured wallpaper was covered in dust. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and very springy and not supportive. The noises from the highway even with our sound machine we brought from home were very loud. The coffee station in the lobby is not sitting on a stand so it was impossible to get coffee without it pouring everywhere. I used to travel all over the country for business and this is one of the most frustrating stays I’ve booked. Despite it’s proximity to Iroquois Amphitheater, I will not be booking here again. For 150 a night, the conditions were unacceptable.

Summary: Nice place. Pool was “closed” for maintenance every evening and open during the day when everybody is out doing something but other than that it’s a pretty good place to stay. I’ll be staying again the next time I’m in Louisville.
