Positive: The location was just outside the city center. Reasonably quiet, but the usual dogs and chickens. The property itself is immaculate. Beautiful construction and design. But what makes it most worth a stay is the staff. Exceptionally nice and attentive señoras. Best breakfast in Costa Rica!

Negative: A few yappy dogs in the neighborhood, but it’s Costa Rica

Positive: The property was lovely with rocking chairs on the covered patio. The landscaping was very nice. Marlena and Sara were wonderful hosts and the breakfast was spectacular!

Positive: The room was very pleasant, the grounds were wonderful. We saw numerous birds while simply relaxing on the patio. And the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!

Negative: There were a lot of dogs in the neighborhood and they did bark into the wee hours of the morning. It would have been nicer if those owners would have brought their dogs in their homes, but they did not. We were able to sleep regardless of the barking. The dogs are much quieter in the daytime.

Summary: Perfect location but for barking dogs in neighborhood. Staff was very friendly.

Positive: Loved our stay at Casa Amanecer! The property is very close to town, making it easy to come and go, and very charming. The rooms are small but comfortable and extremely clean. Breakfast and overall service was excellent.
