Negative: Not a negative about the property but definitely would want to have a car. Very short drive into the town.

Positive: - beautiful interior - beautifully designed & decorated - excellent shower and shower products - very big and comfy bed - thoughtful touches from hosts of local beer and coffee - good communication from hosts and they helped us very quickly with a question we had

Negative: - it wasn’t quite what we expected when we booked - we were expecting more of a cosy and facilitated bed and breakfast experience with places to get breakfast in walking distance and a private terrace, but it felt more like a really gorgeous en suite room with a coffee machine in quite a random residential area - and the terrace is a bench on the front door facing the street. It’s fine, and perfectly pleasant, but just different than we expected. The property changed the name to Bed & Bakkie after we’d booked it (bed and coffee) so this wasn’t as clear for us - we hadn’t appreciated how far away the property is from other parts of the island. We only had bikes and there isn’t a shop or anything else in the little residential village it’s in. If you arrive late, make sure to bring some of your own food if you want to wake up and breakfast there - from the outside, it still looked a bit under construction or something - we could see the building materials where they’ve extended to make the shower and it looked like there was some more going on behind - was a bit of a bummer that we couldn’t leave our bags with the hosts, as we had to check out at 10am and then cycle around the island all Sunday in the heat with our luggage which wasn’t so fun

Positive: Me and my husband reached Texel Island by Ferry ( Teso ), after we walked like 5-7 minutes and we reached the location. We arrived ealier, we left our luggage and go for a walk around the Island. In the afternoon we return to this beautiful accomodation and we found a small letter with some souvenirs/welcoming gifts from the owners ( i was about to cry, they are absolutely great people, very warm, nice and welcoming ). The accomodations was pristine, everything was very clean, the interior design was absolutely stunning and modern, the bed was very soft and comfy, the coffee machine and coffee was delicious, we had a small fridge to keep our food there, the shower was so beautiful and large, we enjoyed to eat our food in peace watching the large window, the beautiful garden and the quiet street. Both me and my husband were impressed by this amazing accomodation and will remain forever in our hearts and minds. Texel Island is like a paradise, you have a public bus ( 28 ) and Texel shuttle busses, everything is clean and peaceful. Texel beer is awesome, air is very fresh, nature is amazing.
