Stanhope area includes great golf courses, excellent restaurants and deep-sea fishing excursions. This cottage is also very convenient as it is only 20 minutes from Charlottetown which makes it perfect for families looking for that relaxing yet adventurous island vacation.

Summary: Property was good, driveway into the property needs work.

Summary: Stay at the property was good! The house was clean and had everything you would need. But we had no hot water and made sure to let host know. He sent someone out late the second day of our 3 day stay. It was not fixed before we left. Also the pool was shut off and why we rented this property was the heated pool so I parents being sick could swim. It was not swimmable until for them until our last morning when we left. The host was aware it was shut off and told us to turn it on. Really we would go back to this property but we should have been given half our stay for free money returned something to compensate us for not getting everything we paid for. The host had no Oreo Ken we communication but just hot water, we told him what was wrong and the pool my parents could not enjoy until the last day my step dad got in and my mother did not get in at all due to the temperature. So beautiful spot just with those issues it could have been compensated something notbebefore we left.

Summary: Great overall place to stay. Location is central to many great spots and the house is great as advertised. I can’t say anything negative about the property other than it is due for a new BBQ for when we stayed but most likely just due to how much it’s used. The pool and deck are great places for a family to hang out with many beaches just a short drive away. Already booked same spot for longer next year.

Summary: A good property with all the necessary tools/accessories to enjoy meals and the good size pool. The location was the best attribute. You are just outside the National Park Dalvay entrance. Grandchildren were easily able to bike on the provided bikes to Stanhope Campground to visit their younger cousins. Only have two complaints: 1) There were no instructions for the TV and we could not get it to work. A call to the owner about the problem was not answered. 2) The bedside light in the front bedroom would not work and had to be replaced with a light from the main level. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner as that is not provided. But there were plenty of towels and soap.

Summary: Property in good shape. Only issue was internet not available for half our stay. Host was responsive and provided board games, DVDs while waiting for Bell to arrive. We all enjoyed the private pool and how close the cottage was to the north shore beaches. PEI was busy wherever we went, appears tourism has recovered nicely after the pandemic.

Summary: Stayed with friends and went to Cavendish music festival. Drove up 12 hrs from Rhode Island in convertible and the ride was fairly easy. Visited all over from Charlottetown to Victoria by the Sea to East Point and also to Tignish and as far as North Cape went to Summerside as well. North Rustico and Victoria by the Sea were great and the beaches all over were wonderful. Richard’s, Landmark Oyster house in Victoria by Sea and Blue Mussels restaurant in north Rustico and Slaymaker and Nichols Gastrohouse and Vicinato Ristorante in Charlottetown were amazing as well. All were 20-30 minutes from house overall good jumping off point to experience the island. The above ground pool was perfect for morning swim or late afternoon cool downs. House was equipped with Keurig, had condiments for meals, microwave, good sets of dishes and pots and pans. Only hiccup was Bell internet was down the entire stay so no wi fi or tv. We had a data plan for our phones so we survived. Owner very responsive but Bell (internet co never did manage to fix outage). 2 bedrooms upstairs both with ac worked well and plenty of ceiling fans in every room Stanhope beac very close and Fins restaurant short ride as well. Groceries are best picked up in Charlottetown as Grand Tracadie does not have stores. There is a camp store down the road where you can get ice, bread, eggs, cream etc but selection is limited. Whispering Pines RV resort is the name and only 1-2 miles away. Overall we had a wonderful time
