Positive: Decent apartment, location very good, near to beaches and tennis courts, ideal for those with bikes like us especially. Grocery store not far away on site - this one is quite expensive so would advise shopping at Spar or Lidl which are a 12 minute drive away. Soar has a good selection of cooked food so you can buy meals there quite cheaply to save time. Atmosphere on the site is nice, and no problems with noisy guests. 2nd year in a row staying there, hopefully will return again.

Negative: The properties never have enough electrical sockets, so bring an extension cable or you’ll have problems charging phones etc.

Summary: Solid choice for decent accommodation at a fair price.

Positive: This is not our first time staying at Apartments Polynesia Plava Laguna in Katoro. I truly love this place: the staff are all consummate professionals, the apartment is just the right size and layout for us, and since we always bring along everything we might need from home, we never miss a thing. This year we were especially pleased with the location and quality of our apartment, and we were lucky to have considerate neighbors all around. We also enjoyed plenty of squirrel sightings, the seagulls were friendly, funny, and surprisingly tame, and on top of it all, the weather was simply perfect. Our heartfelt thanks go to every member of the Plava Laguna team for making our late-summer getaway so delightful. See you again next year! :-)

Positive: Lovely location just north of Umag, easy to find and a simple check in process. Our little apartment was very nice, clean and well equipped. Everything was close by for our enjoyment. Lovely pool and great beaches for swimming. Didn’t use any of the shops or catering facilities as they were significantly more expensive than the 5 minute drive to the local supermarket. A special mention for Oleg on reception. Greeting us with a smile and extremely helpful whenever we dropped in to ask a question. Thank you Oleg.

Negative: Although clean inside, the overall condition of the buildings was poor. The holiday park was built in the “Jugoslavia” period and although they have been updated they still have old wooden single glazed windows, only one set of shutters actually closed to block light and there were only net curtains so as soon as it was light, you were awake. No air conditioning, so I can imagine in mid summer when it gets to high 30’s or low 40’s it would be pretty uncomfortable.

Summary: Lovely short late summer break.

Positive: Big, comfortable, appartments. Nice big balcony. Rooms don't have an AC but with all the shade from the big trees around the houses it wasn't even needed (At least they weren't when we were visiting). You can park you car directly in front of the house. Kitchen was small but sufficient. Although I can't imagine cooking a proper meal there. Clean beach. Plenty of room and activities at the beach. Entertainment at night was fun. The town is easily accessible by car.

Negative: Appartements are quite old. It was clean as it gets, but cleaning old things won't make them look new. We would get a lot of ants in the apartment every time you would leave anything out. There was broken glass behind the house. Pool could be cleaner. There aren't nearly enough sunbeds around it. Especially with people "reserving" them early in the morning.

Summary: Sufficient for a shorter stay while in transit.
